The international flight is the easy, predictable part of consolidation. The messy part is the days before it, when parcels trickle into our Guangzhou hub from different factories on different timelines. Consolidation only works if every supplier’s parcel actually arrives, and arrives intact. At Freight2Me we run that inbound stage for you: we log each arrival, flag the ones that look wrong, and tell you the moment the batch is complete. Here’s how we keep parcels from different suppliers from getting lost or forgotten.

What Happens the Moment a Parcel Arrives

Every parcel that reaches our Guangzhou hub goes through the same four steps.

Logged against your shipment

We record it by tracking number and supplier, so it’s tied to your batch from the start, not floating in a pile.

Counted and visually checked

We count the pieces and look for obvious damage on arrival, before it goes anywhere near your other goods.

Stored inside the free window

It’s held against the batch, not per box, which is what keeps your storage cost at zero while the rest arrive.

Marked “received” on your dashboard

You can see exactly what’s in and what’s still missing, without emailing us to ask.

You should never have to write in asking “did supplier B arrive yet.” The status is there the moment the parcel is scanned, and we send the notice rather than wait for you to chase it.

When Something Looks Wrong

Not every parcel lands clean. When one arrives damaged, with a mismatched tracking number, or looking like the wrong item, we stop and tell you. We don’t guess, and we don’t quietly set it aside. Here are the exceptions we flag most.

Crushed in domestic transit

A carton damaged on its way to us, where the contents may be affected, gets flagged before it joins your batch.

Tracking number mismatch

If the number on the box doesn’t match the supplier you listed, we hold it rather than guess which batch it belongs to.

Wrong SKU

An item that looks like the wrong product against what you described gets checked before it’s merged.

Supplier never shipped

When a supplier simply hasn’t shipped by the date they promised you, we surface that gap early so you can chase them, not us.

For each one we give you the photo and the options: hold, return to sender, or proceed and note the condition. You decide with full information instead of discovering the problem after the flight.

Knowing When the Batch Is Ready

The merge should happen once everything is in, not before. We track the batch as a whole, so a late supplier doesn’t block the others from being received and inspected. When the last expected parcel is scanned, we mark the batch complete and notify you. That’s the signal to approve repacking. Our storage guide explains why booking the international leg promptly after this point keeps you inside the free window.

A Real Example: Three Suppliers, One Week

A UK buyer merged snacks from three Guangzhou suppliers with us. Supplier A’s box arrived on Monday, supplier B’s on Wednesday, supplier C’s the following Monday. Each arrival was logged and the buyer could watch the batch fill in live. When all three were in, we flagged the batch complete, merged them into one tight carton (13.09 kg actual, about 16 kg volumetric), and the buyer approved the international leg the same day. No parcel was lost, no arrival was a surprise, and storage stayed at zero because the merge happened inside the free window.

Merge Timing: When to Wait, When to Ship

If a supplier is genuinely late, you face a choice we help you make early: ship the batch without them and send the late parcel later (possibly direct), or hold the whole batch and accept storage from the day the window closes. We surface this trade-off before it costs anything, because a surprise storage charge is a failure of communication, not of logistics. Our hidden fees guide lists the charges this choice affects.

What to Do at Intake

Give us the full supplier list with tracking numbers and expected dispatch dates before the first parcel moves. The more we expect, the cleaner the tracking. If a supplier changes their courier or ships without the number you gave us, tell us so we can match the parcel to your batch instead of leaving it orphaned.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add a supplier after the first parcel arrives?

Yes, as long as the batch hasn’t shipped. Add the supplier and we expect the new parcel. Just know it pushes the “batch complete” moment later, which can affect storage if the window is tight.

What if a supplier never ships?

We flag the missing parcel and you choose: ship without it, or hold and accept storage. We won’t silently hold your goods or silently ship an incomplete batch.

Do you inspect contents or just count boxes?

We count and visually check on arrival. Deep QC and functional testing are an optional add-on, which our fee breakdown lists separately.
